Alissa Lacamp

Alissa is a Springfield native and Interior Designer with 26 years’ experience in commercial as well as residential design. She believes our homes are the frame of our lives, the place we go for refreshment and inspiration and that even the smallest of dwellings can become an exquisite jewel box.

“They hold our priceless treasures – from old family heirlooms or a charcoal drawing you bought in Paris to the most comfy chair ever and your favorite coffee mug. They are not about square footage, income level or the most expensive furniture; they are about your unique kingdom, deliberate spaces to house your most valued possessions.”

No single design style is her favorite – she loves them all! She loves that design isn’t static – it is ever-changing and everyone likes something a little different, which makes her job so rewarding!

Jennifer Barnett

Jennifer Barnett

Jennifer is a California native who relocated to the Midwest as a girl. After ‘assisting’ in the building of her family’s home, the spark for all things building and design was ignited. She spent her years pouring over house plans and any interior design magazines she could get her hands on, Veranda and Traditional Home being her favorites.

Out of necessity and what seemed the most practical at the time, Jennifer spent 25 years in the medical field. But she spent her free time redesigning and decorating other people’s homes – from sewing and installing custom window treatments to painting and selecting furnishings and fixtures. She enjoyed it so much that she eventually left the medical field to pursue a second degree, this time in Interior Design. Jennifer has flipped several homes and does all the work herself – from refinishing cabinets or building new ones, installing sheetrock to tiling any surface, and even doing her own trim carpentry, including the dreaded crown moulding.

When Wheelers contacted her about a position, Jennifer was thrilled and saw it as an opportunity to meet new people and work with other talented designers. She enjoys all design styles, but has an affinity for the more traditional and transitional looks. When she isn’t working, she spends time with her husband, Brian, and their two sons, Harry and Ethan.

Lindsay Wakeman

Lindsay Wakeman

Lindsay was born and raised in Wichita Kansas, but she left the state when she went to school at the University of Missouri. She received a degree in Families and Lifespan Development, planning on pursuing a career in family and marital therapy. However, she realized with about a year left of school that her real passion was in interior design! Lindsay's grandmother was an interior decorator and her mom was an art teacher...you could say it runs in the family!

Lindsay and her husband moved to Springfield in June of 2017, and she decided that she wanted to go back to school at Missouri State to pursue a second degree in interior design.
