Thanksgiving Tablescape

by Lindsay Wakeman

I can hardly believe that we are approaching the end of this year, where does the time go?! This means that the holidays are approaching, so I wanted to show you all a couple of my favorite tablescapes. I hope these ideas will serve as an inspiration for you!

If you are going to use any type of florals or greenery, I suggest using the realest looking faux foliage that you can find. This will take away any worry of your beautiful decor wilting before the Thanksgiving meal! You can also use your table display before and after the holiday if you go the faux foliage route. I also like to use my decor for more than one occasion, so try to purchase pieces that can be used for multiple occasions. However, if you want to use real florals on the table, by all means, do so! You cannot quite beat the smell of fresh flowers. You can also add real flowers to the table the day of if you are wanting that fresh flower smell.

My last piece of advice would be to avoid using pieces that are going to block your view across the table. I personally do not enjoy trying to talk through or around an object while talking to someone! One exception may be a taller candlestick as long as the candle is not too wide. I hope that you all have fun with your decorating and Happy Thanksgiving season!
